I headed to the Farmer's Market this past week and picked up a basket of apples to cold store, dry and make applesauce.
In this post I will show you how to "easily" make dried apples to have all winter long. Besides being great for snacking, you can rehydrate with some apple juice or water and make turnovers!
You will need:
Slice ~ Soak ~ Sun
Wash some firm ripe apples. Squeeze juice from one lemon into bowl of water. Slice apples.
Place slices into lemon/water for 5 minutes. Hang your apples out in sun for 12 hours. You can also dry your apples in the oven:
or you can also use a dehydrator.
