What is faith?
When you went to bed last night, as you closed your eyes, you had faith that you would wake up this morning.
If you boarded a plane recently, as you took your assigned seat, you had faith that the pilot was capable of safely getting
you to your destination.
When you sat down at your desk, you had faith that the chair you put your weight on would hold you.
Everyone has faith in "something."
Faith in money, faith in their own decisions, faith in that pilot, and faith in that chair that would hold them up.
These are all examples of faith, but what kind of genuine faith do we see in the true woman of faith?
Just as sailboats are made to move along with the wind, women will all encounter various phases of life -
men, marriage, maternity, motherhood, & yes, menopause.
And with these phases comes the necessity of having the genuine faith that it takes to overcome the fear, anxiety,
depression and heartache we will face... faith that allows us to let go and trust God's direction.
So what IS "genuine faith?"
Our faith is slowly strengthened as we draw closer to God in His Word; meditating, speaking to Him quietly.
It is then, when our faith grows and is strengthened, that we can fully trust Him with our lives and genuinely desire His will.
We can confidently pull up the sails even when the air is dead still and there is not a sign of a breeze.
It is then we can wait, patiently...fully trusting, that all will work out for our best, and He will work in our lives.
Yes, we can raise the sails in the still air, knowing the breath of God will fill the sails!
He will move us along according to His will. We need not worry about what lies ahead, for He is the Master of the wind
and we will find His comfort wherever He desires us to be.
