As we all try to digest and come to grasp the horrifying
tragedy that took place today, we all stop and ponder and all
Why do such things happen and
continue to happen?
Deep within lies emptiness & sadness.
Emptiness - fruitlessness,hollowness, meaninglessness, pointlessness,senselessness,
All of these words are appropriate for this horrible incident. As we look at the suspect's picture, he can be the guy next door;
intelligent, average looking young man. What went wrong? What pushed him to this point? There seemed to be no red flags
warning of a mind somehow gone wrong. And yet this man was studying the mind and it' magnificent capabilities!
My heart aches for those injured and killed. My heart aches for parents, family & friends waiting to hear about loved ones.
As they put the microphone to the mouth of the shooter's father as he stands in line to board a plane for Colorado, my heart
also aches for him. My heart aches also for the mother, sitting home watching the news, and crying.
If we want to hate, let us hate the evil that has crept into our nation by the ungodly choices that have been made.
May we be compassionate to all involved. But most of all, may we all be on our knees tonight asking for the Lord to please
give this nation His protection. I believe that since we have strayed so far from our country's roots of Christianity,
we have opened wide the door for evil to take hold. I am sick and tired of all the "ANTI-GOD" stuff.
God forgive us for the errors of our ways.
The same secular voice which has brought abortion into our nation, now will cry out for the injured and killed.
But let us remember, we are all precious in His sight, born and unborn. Tomorrow many many babies will have their lives ended.
Life is precious, we are created in His image and likeness.
As our hearts ache over this senseless horrible tragedy, may we finally STOP, and LOOK and SEE
what has been, and what is happening in America.
His Word tells us that "our days are as a shadow that passes away" (Psalm 144:4). None of us are promised tomorrow.
May we make the most of today, fall on our knees, and ask for His forgiveness and guidance. Those of us who know
Jesus as our Saviour, know that our eternal life began the moment we asked Him into our heart and life.
May you find this peace... I pray. www.needhim.com
