Life is hard. Housework, children, work, laundry, shopping, finances, illness...we make it to the bed at the end of a long day and silence comes. Then we think about tomorrow and what needs to be done. Is this all there is?
What "really" matters in life?
Is it the day to day tasks necessary for our functional life?
When all is said and done, and we exhale our last breath in this life, what will we have accomplished?
I'll admit, I have lost my focus lately.
Work outside the home, work at home, work online...
I've gone astray and gotten off track by putting other things before my work for Christ.
I want to get back on track and work for Him first and foremost.
Writing more for Him, talking more about Him, standing up for Him and His Word no matter what the cost. I will not conform and compromise so as to be "acceptable. My life is His.
Think about what His disciples experienced all in service to Christ and His Word... According to teachings:
Now grant it, now of us would want to experience anything like this, but we do desire to serve Him, in whatever way He desires to use us. Is putting Him first in my daily routine, and day to day life such a sacrifice? Is it really so hard?
The things of this world will draw my attention away from Him if I am not careful. I must guard my heart and mind to stay focused, to grow in spiritual strength. Someday, I desire to hear the words, "well done." I want to strive to do all I can as His servant here and now.
When I exhale my last breath, I am going to see that glorious Light from heaven. I am going to hear the angelic voices praising Him, and as I reach the gates of Heaven, they will open wide because my sin has been cleansed by His precious blood!
With the downward spiral that our country is taking, we as His followers must stand stronger and pray harder. We face a world that is trying to change "the family" of God, "the married couple" of God, the morals and values of God.
We live in a nation that is pulling away from God, and trying to eliminate His name from every textbook and song.
No matter who is in the White House, we know "Who" is on the throne. As I stand for Him, I can have peace flow over me, peace that surpasses all understanding because God is in control.
