There are conveniences in the city that we can become addicted to. Our favorite restaurants and grocery stores are minutes away. But there is something about being "far" away from the hectic crowds that continues to draw us back to the mountains. I think that once you have visions of beauty and the scent of the forest in your nostrils, it is hard to detach yourself from its peaceful lure.
Now that we are moving back permanently to our mountain home, I do not desire to ever leave again.
Whether your cabin is along the lake or high on the mountain, the calm that comes with simply being wrapped in nature is addicting.
Fall in all its splendor is a feast for the eyes that you never can get enough of.
