We all love summer since it's a time to get out and get some fresh air and much needed exercise. But American's are spending more time inside,
at the desk, and sitting in from of our TV's!
Kids today spend more time indoors than outdoors which was not the case 20 years ago. Family vacations have decreased (well who can afford them?) and attendance at our spectacular National Parks has fallen each year.
Being indoors is not good for our health, for sure! Children who spend more time out in the fresh air and exposed to trees and nature have lower stress levels and do much better in school. I have seen children who parents stated had ADHD symptoms and honestly, all they needed was some outdoor exposure to fresh air, sunshine, (Vitamin D) and healthy exercise.
