If you found out that someone you loved was doing something that just has been shown to cause cancer, would you rush to tell them?
If all they had to do was stop using it, would you urge them to stop?
Yes, there is much that surrounds us in this day and age that may be cancer-causing, but wouldn't you at least TRY to avoid or stop those things you KNEW may kill you? Well I want to tell you something...
People living in the USA consume an enormous amount of sugar, which according to research, may be contributing to cancer. The research that showed that cancer cells feed on sugar has been gaining credibility within the scientific community.
The most recent findings to support this were published in Cancer Research. The research was conducted at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and it suggests that a particular type of sugar--fructose--may be especially harmful.
Fructose, in the form of high fructose corn syrup, is added to thousands of processed foods, even bread, yogurt and spaghetti sauce.
Tests on laboratory mice found that the ones that consumed diets high in sugar developed breast cancer at a much higher rate than mice that consumed diets lower in sugar.
The research also suggests that diets high in sugar cause cancer to metastasize faster than diets lower in sugar. High fructose diets spurred the process known as 12-LOX, which contributes to the spread of cancer cells.
Study researcher Lorenzo Cohen stated that, "A lot of patients are told it doesn’t matter what you eat after you are diagnosed with cancer. This preliminary animal research suggests that it does matter."
Dr. Dominic D’Agostino, was one of the leading researchers supporting the theory that cancer cells feed on sugar; he stated that depriving them of that primary fuel sources causes them to die.
So I ask you, "Can you avoid or eliminate sugar from you diet as much as possible, please?"
As someone who has tries to avoid all sugary products, I can tell you
that after about one month, your body will thank you.
