Frugal ways to get going...
. "Too early?" Never. There are all kinds of things you can do to get a head start on the planting season even before the last frost. Save time and money.
RECYCLE - re-use some of those would-be throw away items to start plants.
PLANTS -Some of the most common plants started from seeds indoors include tomatoes, peppers, melons, squash, eggplant & a wide variety of herbs.
GARDEN AREA - OK, so if you never got around to raking up all of the leaves and other debris (our property is covered with tree limbs, any volunteers?) get going. But as for me, I use the leaves in some areas as mulch. If you have a mulching lawn mower, mow over any leaves on the lawn so the nutrients can return to the soil.
